On Saturday 3rd June, Neuro Hebrides held our first open day since before Covid restrictions, and what a magical day it was.
It was a day for celebrating being together as the fantastic community of Neuro Hebrides, and to invite new people to come and find out what we do and how they can be involved too.
The Open day started with the fantastic Lewis Youth pipe band, followed by the brilliant Sharon MacKinnon Highland dancers.
Throughout the day there was fantastic therapies and sessions delivered by some wonderful people who generously donated their time and expertise to help make the open day so amazing.
Gail Gordon from Comraich therapies, Shiatsu by Flora Somerville, arts and crafts with Gill Thompson, Aroha animal therapy, Cycling without Age and Mindfulness with Dr.Gail Cunningham from Long Term Condition Hebrides, Jenny Hill NHS OT and so many more.
There was then a yummy lunch while listening to fantastic live music by the brilliant Calum Blane.
After lunch there were more fantastic therapy and mindfulness sessions, and mesmerising calming harp playing by Carole Miller.
Nicky Cowsill and Mo Macdonald made an amazing fundraising table, full of brilliant artwork and handmade gifts, all raising money for Neuro Hebrides.
We wanted to also say a massive thank you to everyone who tirelessly baked and donated some amazing cakes, biscuits, pancakes and scones, what a treat.
Thank you also to Western Isles Wedding Nannies who provided childcare throughout the day so parents could take part in activities.
THANK YOU to everyone for helping to make our open day such a special day, we can't wait until the next one.
