What a wonderful day.
On Saturday 26th August, Neuro Hebrides went to visit Callanish Alpacas, and what a fantastic time.
We travelled over from Stornoway in an accessible minibus from Horshader Community Development, which our Friend and driver Derick at the wheel.
What a wonderful sight as we arrived at Callanish Alpacas; there were not only the adult Alpacas but some baby ones too. They were all looking very smart after recently having a hair cut.
Visitors to Callanish Alpacas hadn't been able to go in to the field with the Alpacas since before the Covid Pandemic, but we were so lucky that the wonderful owner, Clare, allowed us go in with the Alpacas and feed them by hand. It was so lovely to be able to get close to the animals, they're incredible soft and very beautiful. We also met Dougal the naughty sheep.
After we fed the Alpacas we went to meet the Pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and even the beautiful peacocks.
Thank you so much to Callanish Alpacas for a wonderful visit. We will definitely be back.
After our visit we made our way to the lovely Grinnebhat for tea and cake. The staff at Grinnebhat were lovely and really looked after us. So a big thank you to the to do and so many
