Can you Volunteer for Neuro Hebrides?

Neuro Hebrides was formed to support neurological patients and their carers by promoting positive health and wellbeing in the Western Isles.

Neuro Hebrides is run by people who have lived experience of either having a neurological condition or supporting someone who has one. Neuro Hebrides provides a community for shared experience and understanding for those living with or caring for someone with a neurological condition in the Western Isles.

Neuro Hebrides is here to provide support for people across the whole of the Western Isles. It is open to anyone living in the Western Isles who is affected by a neurological condition to become a member. We support people across the Western Isles by providing regular emails and holding virtual get togethers which are open to all.

So far, our in-person meetings and activities have been held in Stornoway. We're delighted to be getting out to other parts of Lewis and Harris over the coming months with various activities (details of these are shared on our Facebook page and in the What's On page).

We would also love to be able to deliver in-person support and activities in the Southern Isles! To do this, we are looking for volunteers, ideally based in the Southern Isles: The Uists, Berneray, Eriskay and Barra, who would like to become part of the team at Neuro Hebrides to help us extend our support network for people with Neurological conditions. Funding is available to deliver some of the activities and meetings.

If you can help us plan and deliver in person Cuppa and Catch up meetings, other activities, and any other support for Neurological patients throughout the Western Isles, please get in touch by sending us a message via our Website email is at n.heb@outlook.com or call 07385 596842 Phone signal is very patchy so please leave a message with your name and number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
